I spoke to an Advisory Quality Assurance Engineer at my company today to confirm which technologies we use for things like automation testing, as well as what languages are commonly used (e.g. Python, Java, JavaScript). He gave me some great pointers. I’ve compiled a list and am putting together a study guide. This will either boost my chances for transitioning here, or better place me for somewhere else if the company I currently work for doesn’t come through.
The other trajectory I’m considering is DevOps. Talking to some folks about that now.
